Obituary: Timmons

Julie Kaye Timmons, 67 passed away on Tuesday December 2, 2025 at her home in Grapevine, Texas after a courageous two year battle with Glioblastoma.


A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 am, Saturday, December 20, 2025, at the First United Methodist Church, Fairbury. Pastor Mendoza will be officiating. Inurnment will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.


A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm, also on Saturday at the Fairbury VFW.

Julie Kaye Aberle was born March 14,1958 to Lloyd and Carol Aberle in Fairbury, Illinois. She was a cheerleader throughout her school years at Fairbury Cropsey High School where she graduated from in 1976. She had a vibrant spirit and kind energy that was contagious to those around her, she was a woman that touched lives, who made everyone around her feel seen and loved. 


She married Gregg Timmons nearly fifty years ago on October 23, 1976. They had 3 children, Keahly, Matthew and Amy.  Julie worked in the medical field most of her adult life as an office manager, which she retired from in May of 2025. Her patients and counterparts were all touched by her passion for others and incredible work ethic. She was a long time member and volunteer of Fellowship Church in Grapevine,Texas and a member of White’s Chapel Methodist Church in Southlake, Texas with her husband  Gregg. She lived life with grace and a beautiful smile. She loved to travel and most importantly be with family and friends. She enjoyed coming home to her hometown of Fairbury where she was loved and cherished by everyone who knew her. Julie loved her flowers, gardening and enjoyed going to the gym everyday at 5 am, long Saturday walks at the lake with daughter, Amy and of course, happy hour margs with her friends on Friday night. She made an impact on everyone she met with her sass and spunky attitude. Her spirit of joy and hospitality will live on for generations to come.


She is preceded in death by her mother Carol Aberle, brother David Aberle and sister in law Carol Aberle and beloved Grand Dog Louis. She is survived by her loving husband, Gregg; children, Keahly (Dusty), Matthew (Abbey), and Amy; father, Lloyd Aberle; brothers, Brian (Audrey) and Kent (Kiva); grandchildren, Cody, Olivia, Emalea and Alyssa.
