Obituary: Moser




Lloyd Moser, 86, of Morton formerly of Fairbury, passed into eternity at 9:41pm, February 4, 2022, at his son’s residence, surrounded by his beloved family.


His funeral will be held at 10:00am, Wednesday, February 9, 2022, at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury. Ministers of the church will be officiating. Burial will be in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury.


Visitation will be held from 4-8:00pm, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at the Apostolic Christian Fellowship Hall, Fairbury and 9-9:45am, on Wednesday at the church.


Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Life Points of Morton or Harvest Call.

Duffy-Pils Memorial Home in Fairbury is in charge of arrangements.


Lloyd was born March 21, 1935 in Fairbury the son of Walter and Perseda (Broquard) Moser. He first married Myrna Riggenbach on October 19, 1958, in Latty, OH. She passed in 1992. He then married Martha Fritz on January 31, 1996 in Washington. She survives.


Also surviving are his daughters, Marsha (Nathan) Fehr, Janis (Randall) Fehr, Sally (Les) Fehr all of Fairbury, and Bonnie (Jerry) Wagenbach, Jr of Sperry, IA; sons, Kevin (Kara) Moser and Jeff (Sara) Moser both of Fairbury; daughter-in-law, Julia Moser of Fairbury; 46 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joanne Aupperle of Normal, Colleen Walter and Sharon Kelson both of Fairbury; and brother Keith (Nita) Moser of Forrest.


He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Scott and Douglas Moser, infant daughter, Barbara Moser; grandson, Tanner Fehr; sisters, Thelma Worrell and Marlene Moser.


Lloyd was a veteran of the United States Army. He was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury and most recently Washington.


Lloyd spent most of his life farming in the Fairbury area. He found great joy in his faith and serving others. His greatest desire was to know that all of his family would experience salvation in Christ and be prepared for eternity.
