Randall T. Meister, 51, of Fairbury, passed away at 9:34pm, March 31, 2022, at OSF St. James-John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.
Funeral will be held at 10:00am, Tuesday, April 5, 2022, at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury. Pastor Daryl Evans will be officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.
Visitation will be from 4-7:00pm, Monday, April 4, 2022, also at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to Fairbury Police Department or American Heart Association.
Randall was born October 22, 1970, in Fairbury, the son of Randall T. and Katherine (Gordon) Carter, Sr. He married Tracy Soper on December 4, 1999. She survives.
Also surviving are his adopted father, Lester Meister of Cornell; father-in-law, Ronald Soper of Fairbury; children, Carter Meister of Forrest and Amber (Bruce) Pride of Fairbury; grandchildren, Dylin, Cadyn, Peyton, Greyson, and Remington, Pride; siblings, Jeremy Meister of Colfax, Angie Roberts of Fairbury, Anna and Leslie Meister both of Joliet.
He was preceded in death by his parents and mother-in-law.
Randall retired after 29 years as a Lieutenant for the Pontiac Correctional Center.
He was an avid Cubs and Dale Earnhardt fan and enjoyed shooting. Randall also loved spending his free time in his truck or riding his Harley.
You will never meet a better man with the biggest heart than Randall. He was truly a great guy that loved and was loved by everyone he met or met him.
