Obituary: Hall

Joan M. Hall, 88, of Cropsey, passed away on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at Serenity Villa in Fairbury, IL. Cremation rites have been accorded.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 9:30 – 11:00 am at the Cropsey Methodist Church.

Funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at Cropsey Methodist Church with Pastor Wayne Giermann officiating. Lunch and fellowship will follow the service.

Memorial donations may be made in Joan’s name to the Cropsey Fire Dept. and the Cropsey Methodist Church.

Joan was born on September 10, 1937, in Fairbury, the daughter of Herman and Deena (Freese) Huber. She married Donald Hall on January 1, 1960. He preceded her in death on April 15, 2008.

Joan is survived by her children: Mark (Lisa) Hall, Cropsey; Rodney (Lisa) Hall, Fairbury; Steve (Wendy) Hall, Fairbury; and Gina (Tony) Aberle, Danvers. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, and sister Sharon Lee Berg.

Joan was a graduate of Fairbury-Cropsey High School. She worked as an accountant for 14 years in the Crop Industry before she owned and operated an Interior Design business for over 30 years. She loved tending her garden and spent many hours in the yard. Joan was very active in Bible study and in her faith.
