Obituary: Fehr

Glenn H. Fehr, 86, Fairbury, died at 2:45 am Friday, November 3, 2023 at OSF St. James – John Albrecht Medical Center, Pontiac.


Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury with Ministers of the Church officiating. Burial will follow in the Apostolic Christian Cemetery, Fairbury.


Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 pm Monday, November 6, 2023 at the Apostolic Christian Church Fellowship Hall, 21225 East 670 North Road, Fairbury and 9:00 to 9:45 am Tuesday at the church. The family suggests memorials be given to St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury is in-charge of arrangements.


Mr. Fehr was born March 11, 1937 in Fairbury the son of Reuben and Carolyn Walter Fehr. He married Kathryn Edelman on June 7, 1958 in Sabetha, KS. She survives in Fairbury.


Other survivors include his children: Leona (Don) Kaisner, Ivan (Cinda) Fehr, both of Fairbury, Marcia (Alan) Gerber, Charlotte (Phil) Leman, Janet (John) Schmidgall, all of Forrest, Randall (Janis) Fehr, Fairbury, James (Brenda) Fehr, Tremont, Les (Sally) Fehr and Bryan (Megan) Fehr, both of Fairbury; 43 grandchildren, 67 great grandchildren, 8 siblings, Darlene Stork, Chatsworth, Wayne (Carol) Fehr, Fairbury, Kenneth (Linda) Fehr, Bloomington, Loida (Ron) Mueller, Forrest, Warren (Shirley) Fehr, Fairbury, Kathleen (Lynn) Slagel, Pontiac, Patricia (Don) Menold, Sabetha, KS and Susan (Rick) Mastronardi, Bloomington.


He is preceded in death by one grandson, Tanner Fehr, one daughter, Mary Jane Fehr, one son, Gary Wayne Fehr, one sister, Jane Steidinger and one grandson-in-law, Brad Brown.

Mr. Fehr was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Apostolic Christian Church, Fairbury. His purpose in life was to glorify God in Jesus Christ and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
