Obituary: Beyers





Bailey Jordan Beyers, 28, of Forrest perished in an early morning two vehicle accident involving his tractor-trailer and another vehicle, on U.S. Rt. 24 at Livingston County Road 3350 East, Chatsworth on Friday, August 30, 2024.


Bailey was born on April 30, 1996, in Pontiac, IL as the son of Brad and Shelly Fogarty Beyers.  He married Elizabeth Ann Franey on June 13, 2020, at St. Malachy Catholic Church in Rantoul, IL.  She survives in rural Forrest, IL.


Also surviving are their two children, Wren Elizabeth and Noah Rodell Beyers, at home; mother, Shelly Beyers, and father, Brad Beyers, both of Fairbury, IL; maternal grandmother, Kathy Fogarty, Fairbury, IL; paternal grandfather, Wilfred Joe Beyers, Pana, IL; father- and mother-in-law, Tom and Stephanie Franey, Champaign, IL; two brothers, Brandon (Hayley) Beyers, Fairbury, IL; Bryce (Laine) Beyers, Manito, IL; a brother-in-law, JT (Emily) Franey, Mahomet, IL; a sister-in-law, Mary Beth Franey, Champaign, IL; and three nieces, Emersyn, Eliana, and Everly Beyers.


He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Rod Fogarty, and paternal grandmother, Myrna Beyers.


Bailey was a 2014 graduate of Prairie Central High School and received an Associate Degree in Agricultural Business from Parkland Community College.  He and Liz owned and operated Bailey Beyers Trucking Inc.


His Funeral Mass and baptism for their son, Noah, will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, September 6, 2024 at St. Andrew Catholic Parish, Fairbury with Fr. Scott Archer officiating.  Burial will follow in Graceland Cemetery, Fairbury.


A rosary will be recited at 1:30 pm followed by a public visitation from 2:00 to 8:00 pm at Duffy-Pils Memorial Home, Fairbury on Thursday, September 5, 2024.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family for a fund that has been established for their children, Wren and Noah.


Bailey was and will forever be remembered as a devoted husband, a loving father, a caring brother, and a supportive son.  Bailey always had a smile on his face. He embodied the entrepreneurial spirit with a tireless work ethic.  He was a true friend to all and knew no stranger.
