Cub Scouts Pack 3170 is officially up and running in Fairbury, and local families are invited to join a growing program designed to support character development, outdoor adventure and community involvement for the area youth.

Launched in 2025, Pack 3170 is building momentum as it enters into a full year of activities in 2026. The pack is led by Cubmaster Katie Burke and supported by a team of dedicated parent volunteers who are committed to providing a fun, structured, and meaningful experience for children in the community.

The 2026 calendar includes a Pinewood Derby, a family campout, a fishing derby, a community scavenger hunt, and biweekly pack meetings. Throughout the year, scouts will participate in hands-on activities designed to build confidence, leadership, teamwork, and a heart for volunteer service. Along the way, children will make new friends, learn from strong role models, and gain experiences that help them grow both in and out of the classroom.

Cub Scouts is a national youth development program that helps children build character, citizenship, and personal fitness in a safe and supportive environment. The program combines outdoor adventure, service projects, skill-building, and family participation to create meaningful experiences that last a lifetime.

Pack 3170 is currently welcoming new members and families who want to be part of a growing, community-centered program in Fairbury.

For more information or to learn how to join, please contact Pack Committee Member Evan Chambers at 815-674-9392.

Now is a great time to get involved and help shape the future of Cub Scouts in Fairbury.
