Friday’s ribbon-cutting for a new studio space was a cause for celebration in the Casson house.
Members of the Pontiac and Fairbury chambers were on hand for the ceremony marking the opening of the Casson Media studios.
“We are glad to have this space for recording, live broadcasting, interviews and creativity,” said Casson Media’s Kent Casson.
Programming for the Central Illinois Farm Network and Route 24 Radio will originate from the studios along with segments heard on local radio station WGCY 106.3 FM such as the Friday Afternoon Oldies Get-Together.
Those commercials and promos you’ll hear during Prairie Central Hawk games on Fairbury News in the coming year most likely originated from these studios as well.
“This is a game changer as we now have plenty of room for expansion to meet the growing needs of our digital and on-air audiences,” added Casson.
In addition to Fairbury News, the Central Illinois Farm Network and Route 24 Radio, other properties of Casson Media include Eye On Central Illinois and Chenoa News.
The Casson Media High School Sports Network can be heard throughout the school year, covering various schools such as Prairie Central (Fairbury News), Pontiac (Eye On Central Illinois), Lexington (Route 24 Radio) and El Paso-Gridley (Route 24 Radio).
