Legion donates new flags

The Fairbury American Legion John Joda Post has generously donated new American and Illinois flags to Prairie Central High School.

The post also donated new flag poles and stands. These flags will be displayed daily in front of the Prairie Central Military Wall that honors all military members that have graduated from PCHS or one of its former schools.  

Flags will also be used during formal events held at the school including graduation and awards night. These flags will have their first ceremony on November 11th for the annual Veterans Day recognition at PC High School. The Veterans Day events will begin at 1:45 Tuesday for an ice cream social with the ceremony beginning at 2:30. This event is open to all community members.
