An event focusing on nature and history comes to the area on Saturday as several area towns have something to offer from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Chenoa will offer tours of the Historical Society Museum and the city’s new library. In Fairbury, Echoes Museum will be open with a nearby sidewalk display of local wildlife. Visitors can also walk through a pollinator garden at Munz Nature Park.
Forrest will have Forrest Depot and Hampsher Hotel tours with a chance to learn about railroad history while enjoying snacks in a bag. Jerry’s Hat Museum will also be open for viewing. In Chatsworth, the Central Illinois Connection Center and Bluebird Project have fun activities for children. Jodi Martin will have a display of local Native American artifacts and words of wisdom.
Chatsworth’s school house museum and caboose will also be open for tours.
