Class of '21 bios

The following seniors have submitted information to be included in our Fairbury News senior biographies. Thanks to Prairie Central High School for helping to gather the information.


Abby Jane Aberle, daughter of Shawn and Tami Aberle, has been involved with FCCLA during high school. She plans to attend Heartland Community College for phlebotomy.


Elisabeth Barth, daughter of Paul Barth and Melissa Williams, has been involved with Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Spanish Club, Fall Play 2018 and National Honor Society. She plans to attend the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and have a career.


Trystan Laine Bahler, daughter of Randy and Courtney Bahler, was in band for two years, choir three years and volleyball for two years. Following high school, she plans to attend Paul Mitchell The School in Normal to become a cosmetologist.


Carene Kaye Campbell, daughter of Shawn and George Campbell, has been involved in FCCLA, National Honor Society, FCA, and volleyball. She plans to attend Heartland Community College in the fall then transfer to ISU. She is majoring in elementary or middle school education.


Riley Elizabeth Casner, daughter of Bill and Stacie Casner, has been in FCA, track and the LACC certified nursing assistant class. She plans to attend Heartland Community College, majoring in nursing to be an OB nurse. She also plans to transfer to Illinois State University to continue her nursing degree.


Brianna Kaytlin Cosgrove, daughter of Brent Cosgrove and Rachel Bradley, has been involved in choir and Geoclub. She plans to attend Joliet Junior College majoring in block chain sciences.


Maddison Nichole Crabtree, daughter of Pamela Crabtree, has been in marching band, jazz band and concert band. She plans to attend Eureka College, double majoring in criminal justice and psychology.


Jacob Wade Davis, son of Kim and Jason Davis, has participated in golf and baseball. He plans to attend Heartland Community College majoring in computer science.


Amanda Joann Edelman, daughter of Alan and Wendy Edelman, has been involved in band, choir, the musical and madrigals. She plans to attend Heartland Community College for two years then transfer to Illinois State University, majoring in nursing.


Kelsey Laine Edelman, daughter of Karl and Bethany Edelman, has been in FFA and FCA. She plans to enter the workforce.


Ashley Elizabeth Fehr, daughter of Brian and Susan Fehr, has been in softball, golf, FCA and NHS. She plans to attend Illinois Wesleyan University, majoring in business.


Emily Elizabeth Francis, daughter of Paul Francis and Lori Francis, plans to attend Heartland Community College, majoring in radiology.


Natalie Elizabeth Graf, daughter of Michael and Lisa Graf, has been involved in volleyball, basketball and softball all four years of high school along with student senate for three years and Fellowship of Christian Athletes for three years. She plans to attend Heartland Community College, majoring in nursing.


McKenna Renee Haab, daughter of Mark and Kim Haab, was involved in volleyball for one year, choir for one year, PC Leadership for two years, FCCA for two years, band for three years, NHS for three years and FCA for four years. She plans to attend Olivet Nazarene University majoring in English education.


Ashdon Avery Heavilin, son of Trudy and David Heavilin, has been in football, FCCLA and band. He plans to attend Parkland College majoring in computer science.


Briley Diane Hoffman, daughter of Rick and Cheryl Hoffman, has been involved with softball, volleyball, FCA and FFA. She plans to attend Eastern Illinois University majoring in business and construction management.


Gabbie Ann-Marie Houberg, daughter of Mindy Cavaness and Justin Cavaness and Kevin Houberg, has been in FCCLA, madrigals, choir, band, colorguard and cheerleading. She will attend Illinois State University, majoring in special education for deaf and hard of hearing.


Tyler George Ifft, son of Tom and Amy Ifft, was involved in football, track, FFA and 4-H all four years of high school. He plans to enter the work force at Pheasant Ridge Landscaping.


Kaden Delane King, son of Kristy Coomber and Roy King, was involved in NHS, student senate, FCA, basketball, track and football. He plans to attend college to study architectural engineering and play football but is still undecided on where he is going.


Emma Kinkade, daughter of Jeremy and Marsha Kinkade, participated in FFA, FCA, FCCLA, Spanish Club, volleyball, track and the polar plunge. She plans to continue working after graduation.


Madison Renee Kinkade, daughter of Jeremy and Marsha Kinkade, was in volleyball, track, basketball, the polar plunge, girls varsity basketball captain for three years and FCA. Her future plans are undecided at this time.


Ainsley Kayann Kratochvil, daughter of Phil and Angie Kratochvil, was involved with band (marching, concert, jazz, pep and drumline) all four years, FFA for four years, National Honor Society for three years, girls basketball two years and student senate for a year. She will attend Purdue in the fall as a member of the Honors College to major in Agricultural Communication.


Ashlyn Pearl Kratochvil, daughter of Phil and Angie Kratochvil, was in band (marching, concert, jazz and pep) for four years, FFA four years, National Honor Society three years, girls basketball two years and student senate for a year. She will attend Illinois State University in the fall on a Presidential Scholarship majoring in elementary education.


Corbin Thomas Leman, son of Earl and Krista Leman, was involved in FFA, trap team and football. He plans to work at Slagel Manufacturing and return to the family farm.


Maria Kimberly Leman, daughter of Chad and Kim Leman, graduated in January and has been working full time as an optometric technician at Family Eye Care in Pontiac. She plans to continue working full time.


Jadyn Dean Lewallen, son of Mike and Amy Lewallen, was in baseball for a year, basketball two years, National Honor Society three years, National Technical Honor Society for a year, Fellowship of Christian Athletes four years and PC Leadership for two years. He plans to attend Heartland Community College then transfer to Illinois State University to pursue a degree in nursing.


Darla Maye Meiss, daughter of Kevin and Kati Meiss, was in FCCLA for two years and plans to continue working at Fairview Haven and Serenity Villa in the dietary department.


Hannah Katherine Norris, daughter of Pam and Tom Norris, has been in FFA for two years, scholastic bowl two years, Spanish Club for a year, National Honor Society two years and band four years. She plans to attend Heartland Community College in the fall intending to major in biochemistry.


Natalie Rae Simmons, daughter of Michelle and Craig Simmons, was involved with yearbook her sophomore and junior years and choir her junior and senior years. She plans to take a year or two off to continue working then plans to attend Heartland Community College and eventually Illinois State University with a degree in special education and housing interior design.


Kaylie Elizabeth Skala, daughter of Jamie Penney and Bill Skala, participated in volleyball for all four years, softball two years and art guild for two years. She plans to attend Olivet Nazarene University majoring in biology before heading to medical school.


Evan Mark Slagel, son of Mark and Suzanne Slagel, has been involved in FFA and band. He plans to attend Parkland College majoring in agriculture business.


Jenni Katherine Slagel, daughter of Bob and Marsha Slagel, participated in volleyball for four years, softball four years and was a member of FCA. She plans to attend Heartland Community College in the fall majoring in agriculture with an emphasis on animal science. Jenni will continue her volleyball career playing for the Heartland Hawks.


Katherine Kei Leilani Steffen, daughter of Clint and Jenny Steffen, has been in FFA, FCCLA and church youth group. She plans to attend Heartland Community College and work for Fairview Haven.


Gabriel Alexis Steidinger, daughter of Justin and Tricia Steidinger, was involved with robotics. She plans on going to Heartland Community College in Pontiac majoring in interior design.


Faith Elizabeth Taylor, daughter of Tracy and Julie Taylor, participated in band for three years, choir three years, track three years, cross country for a year, and golf one year. Faith graduated midterm and has been taking classes through Heartland Community College. Her plans for the future are undecided.


Christian Neal Taylor, son of Tracy and Julie Taylor, participated in band four years and was drum major his senior year, jazz band four years, IMEA all district band three years, choir four years, madrigals four years, musical four years , baseball four years, basketball one year, National Honor Society three years, and scholastic bowl for a year. Christian will be attending Iowa State in the fall majoring in engineering.


Mariah Wahls Turner, daughter of Joe and Lacy Turner, has been active with FCCLA, FCA, choir, fall cheerleading and winter cheerleading. She plans to attend Parkland College majoring in nursing.


Samuel Benjamin Vant, son of James and Debra Vant, has been involved with choir and musicals. He plans on attending Heartland Community College.


Sarah Lynn Waldbeser, daughter of Jim and Renae Waldbeser, has been in FFA four years, track and field two years, FCCLA one year, jazz band one year, choir one year and musical for a year. She plans to attend Illinois State University majoring in interior design.


Tess Marie Ward, daughter of Jennifer Ward and Mark Ward, participated in FCCLA, volleyball and FCA. She is attending Heartland Community College to pursue a degree in elementary education and will continue to Illinois State University to finish a bachelor’s degree.
