Aftershock opens downtown

Aftershock Decals & Design is shown in downtown Fairbury Tuesday morning.

If you are looking for a customized yard sign for a birthday in the family or something as simple as a sticker, look no further than a new storefront in downtown Fairbury.

Aftershock Decals and Design has moved to its new location at the former Serendipity Cards and Gifts site, 116 East Locust Street. The staff looks forward to working with everyone in the community for their signage needs.

“We are pretty excited about it,” Kirk Leman told Fairbury News recently. “It will give us a lot more room and a storefront so people can stop in easier and don’t have to drive clear out in the country to find us.”

The Aftershock business began around six years ago and continues to grow.

“We can make anything from a couple dollar sticker to a $5,000 or $6,000 vehicle wrap,” Leman said.

Staff members have been busy printing yard signs in recent months, especially for graduations and birthday parties. Leman feels each item Aftershock offers is a bit different and customers are typically happy with the finished product – something he considers rewarding.

Leman also owns Leman Paint Works north of Forrest which does sandblasting and collision work on semis and accessories. The body shop side of the business usually deals with more of the big ticket items.

The new location for Aftershock Decals and Design can be reached at 815-692-1240 or by visiting www.aftershockdd.com.

Leman was a guest on our recent Fairbury Newsmakers program on the Fairbury News Facebook page. He also serves as president of the Fairbury Area Chamber of Commerce.
