The Prairie Central High School volleyball team starts the season Aug. 23 and is ready to compete once again.
New PCHS volleyball coach Kirsten Smith is feeling good about the upcoming season and her team.
“We are ready to get back at it and they haven’t had too long of a break since the end of the season last year,” Smith told Fairbury News during practice this week.
As of now, they will follow the normal fall schedule and travel to Coal City for the season opener this month, which also falls on the first day of school.
“I think we have a wonderful group,” Smith said. “I’ve had all of these girls in P.E. or volleyball already.”
Smith feels her players have “wonderful attitudes” heading into the new season.
